A little about me
I’m Andy Campbell, welcome to CampbellTD.com.
What can I tell you about myself and my work? I’ve been a Technical Director since 1994 and have been lucky to work in all levels of theatre, opera and event production.
Since 2020, of my many clients I’ve built for: Curtis Opera in Philadelphia, Constellation Stage and Screen in Indiana, EgoPo in Philadelphia and the University of Virginia.
Mostly, theatres I work for have houses that range from 100 to 800 seats. For the most part, scenic elements are built from wood. Complexity ranges from basic Hollywood flats to intricate pieces that get cut on the CNC router. On occasion, we build from steel and aluminum when sets get tall or need to be flown.
If you want to see what is going on in the shop, check out my YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/@theatre_pigs Here besides theatre, you’ll see all the other random things I’m doing like raising pigs and Christmas trees or trying to take public transportation someplace new when I’m on vacation in Thailand
I have to admit that I’m not a website guy as you might have guessed from how basic, unstructured and clunky this site might be. I’m probably busy building scenery so a client has a successful show rather than trying to figure out Square Space. I know, I’ll get on it after the next load in.
Thanks for visiting,
-Andy C.
